When Brittany contacted us for a maternity session one of the top things on her list was a "country feel" for her photos. This request immediately triggered an idea about a location that I had been dying to use for close to two years now.
It's an amazing piece of property that's been hotly disputed over the course of two decades. After the original 9 hole golf course was closed and sold, it's been targeted for a new school site which the local community has fought tooth and nail to block, so for now it just sits as an unofficial dog park made up of some beautiful rolling hills and mostly un-kept grass fields. In a word, it was the perfect spot for Brittany's photos!
We met up with our makeup artist Adrienne at the field and definitely drew some inquiring eyes by the passing cars as she sat in the chair getting the finishing touches put on prior to the session.
The field was filled with dandelion puff balls, which looked awesome in the photos, and we were lucky enough to catch an amazing sunset as we wrapped up her photo session. It was perfect!
